Z’s test was scheduled on a Friday evening. We had an early dinner and drove him down to the school. This swim school only conducted the swimsafer gold test once a year. They did not hold tests for other stages. That was one of the reasons why we chose the school.

Undoubtedly, we were concerned if he could complete the swimsafer gold tasks. We only needed a bronze to fulfill the primary school criteria.
It would seem that they were fine with all the tasks. Z started off with the 400m swim.

There was a lot of waiting before he could get to his other test items. We had to wait a full 2 hours!!

So was the long, learn-to-swim journey. Yay!
