Given that CNY was so early this year, bundled with the fatigue and sick bugs from post holidays, it really took us a while to orientate and decide that we would be doing really minimal work this year.
Apart from planning gatherings and buying the new year necessities like pineapple tarts and bak kwa, we were going to take it even easier this year.
I missed the pre-primary school years when we got to travel.
The emphasis of Chinese culture had gotten so distilled at our level that I wondered how it would be like when our kids became parents.
Even planning a reunion dinner at home sapped the mental strength. The year of Rooster was supposed to be very good in terms of wealth and career for Mr H, X and I.
It definitely sounded promising.
This year of change, may it continue to bring happiness, health and safety to us and all.
