It was a day to catch up on rest because it had been such a crazy day the day before.
It was a day to catch up with old friends because it was the end of P1 and some of his K2 friends were free!
It was a day to catch up on family time because I was due to fly off for a week.
Happy, carefree kids
X was so cute because he told me, “Mummy, I will miss you but I will not cry. I love you!” He was so jovial and chirpy.
Z, on the other hand, was visibly sad and withdrawn. He actually cried when he walked me to the gate. Le sigh.
No matter how old he was, and how far and few my business trips had become, he never failed to make me go on a guilt trip.
I really did not feel so bad because I dedicated so much time over the past few weeks and weekends to the kids. This was coming to terms and knowing that I had always done my best with the kids.
